So here’s one of those videos that just screams “hey girls, just wiggle your arses and look pretty”. Having said that, all of the Happy Mondays promos where they appear as a band have a similar disembodied vibe. The band, Sean and Bez particularly, being blissfully unaware of their environment. Of course their capacity for substance abuse is legendary and, at the time, they were more or less permanently off their heads. So, the films are an external depiction of an internal state. Whatever. They also happened to be an incredible band and this track contains one of their most memorable riffs, as well as the lyrics. Best heard in its original form, untouched by the remixer’s hand.
