Is there a more visceral dance track? I doubt it. ‘Join In The Chant’ is the quintessence of electronic body music. The words are hollered and delivered in such a rhythmic way that you forget about their dislocation. The sound design is simultaneously cohesive and dissonant. Another band straight out of Essex, and who supported Basildon’s favourite sons plenty of times. Whatever was in the water at that time was weapons grade. An incredibly far reaching piece of music that still destroys dance floors and is still the future.
