A track from a period when Larry Heard had already found his feet long before and was churning out gems such as this which could fly under the radar. This is deep, melodic house done as only Heard, Chez Damier, Dana Kelley & Ron Trent can. There’s such a spiritual profundity to tracks like these that defies description. They are engineered to take the listener to another place, and they succeed. I’ve come to the conclusion that this track is a profound, clear example of the human condition and is best listened to whenever one has the time. Every day if possible. It’s hard and soft simultaneously. It’s a huge audio embrace that encases and enraptures simultaneously. It’s space jazz Jim, but not as we know it. Next time you meet anyone who doesn’t like music, get them in a room with this, leave them alone until it finishes and then see.
