This remix is, like anything Gerard Hanson, aka E.R.P., turns his hand to, just perfect. Of course it has the benefit of solid foundations, Indio being a collaboration between John Beltran and Sam McQueen, the fruit of whose labours first saw the light of day around 20 years ago on Transmat. And this has all the hallmarks of a classic from that seminal imprint. It’s all about the gently undulating, powerful low end, that stays in the background, but transports the rest of the track to new height. Aided by a symphonic melody that strikes at the right time throughout, this is nothing you haven’t heard before. Yet it is.
