I mostly review music that, even though I may really like it, I wouldn’t play out. This release is the other side of the coin. I do like my house to be deep, miasmic and druggy and this satisfies on all fronts. Furthermore, three original versions plus a reinterpretation is always a great way to go. I suppose one criticism could be that there isn’t a great amount of variety here, with the Ozeil remix of ‘Organised Chaos’ stepping outside the relative safety of dreamy profundity with something slightly more confrontational in the shape of a more muscular percussive workout than the original. That’s about it really. Having said that, the original versions of each track are all superb and show great flair, (think the type of deep, dubby mysticism Janeret has been churning out for the last few years and your’re there), with the other two remixes, courtesy of Haventepe and Oner remaining reasonably faithful, while stripping down base elements. A wonderful release in which every track does the business.
