There are currently more break beat infused tracks than one can shake a stick at. It’s going to be the sound of the summer that never was, which in some cases may not necessarily be a bad thing. This release takes Elliot Project in that direction, but to its detriment. The original versions, although referred to in the press release as having been “ . . . designed for aircraft hangars and castle parties . . .” are far too poppy and derivative to be interesting. Frazer Campbell improves both with his remixes, but only by virtue of turning them into completely different tracks. Instantly forgettable.
