Everyone loves a list, or do they? In the spirit of my last post and the need to ask as many rhetorical questions as possible, I’m about to write another; the next ten albums . . . namely those that continue the fine work of the first ten and further build on the foundations already laid. This is just as difficult a job as before because most of this lot could probably have made it into the initial ranking, but it’s another day under lockdown and I need a way to express myself. All of the records posted will always remind me of a certain time and place and, in doing so, give me exponential Proustian moments.
