There’s something about a teutonic accent and electro. The cold, distant lack of fluctuation over deadpan beats, certainly in this case anyway. It’s crucial that the titular character is a scientist as well, even though his research is in “digital sound and rhythm”, and not in genetics, or something more ominous. Electro has many sides, and this is its more sinister one (albeit little tongue in cheek). And it's impossible not to listen to it without smiling. The true place to understand a track like this is the dance floor though. Where a lack of inhibition and an impulse to throw shapes render any other feelings insignificant.
