For this release on Analogical Force, Moy seems to have underpinned three tracks with electro foundations, while the odd one out, ‘Rubberbingo’, (seen here live at Cambridge's Strawberry Fair 10 years ago. I was probably there 😀) is a more off-kilter, break beat led composition. It’s possibly the most abstract piece here. It is, however, underpinned by a solid breaks framework which allows the idiosyncratic layers of occasionally wayward sound some structure and relief. ‘Omega Directive’ is a slow, deliberate soundtrack to a reflective journey through the inner sanctums of the mind’s eye. Dense and driving, it leads the way out of the twilight zone. ‘Frequency Of Creation’ is a symphonic, acidic symphony. Hymn-like and with a hint of the shape of things to come. ‘Metreon Cascade’ funks things up with some sort of braindance break dance. All is overlayed with a veneer of dissonant density injecting a layer of solemnity that can’t quite be avoided.
