From the excellent ‘Mezzotinto’ EP, and before he abbreviated his name down the more familiar Parisian appendage, this track holds a special place in my heart because it was released at more or less the exact time I move to Paris and was one of the first records I bought while there. It’s not much to be fair. A stripped down, piece of percussion with a guitar sampled and looped around snatches of a vocal, but it works and, to me at least, its minimalism reminds me a bit of Herbert’s early productions. Irresistibly catchy and most definitely H.O.U.S.E.
