Following up yesterday’s TOTD wasn’t going to be difficult. Once you’re in the depths of quality house music you just have to keep on pushin’. This is one of many Ronn Trent productions that I could have picked, but this one gets it because, for me at least, it’s half of the best double header that Prescription put out. Like ‘The Meaning’, on the other side, which is a collaboration with Chez Damier, this is a piece of lush, emotive, spiritual (used that word again), deep house music that is both physical and meditative. Brilliant hooks just when you need ‘em, and the feeling that your being pushed through the tunnel of love. Also, lovely piano. It’s played both purposefully and with soul. Spot the ‘Voodoo Ray’ nod too. Absolute perfection.
