The opening track from Dan Curtin's second Peacefrog album 'Art & Science' comes out all guns blazing and is a good example of the controlled intensity that DC used to be able to squeeze out of his machines, (maybe he still can). One of techno's most distinctive voices, I always felt that no one else really sounded like him. There's a sort of melodic jarring that permeates most of his output, and it's slightly noticeable here, particularly towards the end when the handclaps come in on top of the drums, A supremely talented artist whose legacy will continue to be felt.
