The closing track to ‘Digital Lifeforms’, and produced around the same time as ‘The Conversation’, it seems appropriate to ask if Richard H. Kirk got much sleep in the late eighties, early nineties. ‘White Darkness’ is a mid-paced piece of synth washed future disco straight from a parallel universe; somewhere beyond the stars where the languid pace of life is reflected in the gravity defying beats therein. Sounding like all of your hallucinogenic experiences put to music, and occupying that strange space between ecstasy and uncertainty, this will never sound anything other than the future going through the process of regeneration.
