Are Monotix and RV800 the same organism? I don’t know, but I’m sure somebody reading this does. In any case, I ask this because there are so many similarities between their respective productions. Characterised by a minimal, acidic tranced out vibe, with vocal washes and a nice percussive underlay, these tracks are dance floor opium and hit that spaced out sweet spot so well that it should be on prescription. All of Monotix’s releases are available on Bandcamp, and I’ve noticed that the vinyl has crept up in price since the last time I looked on Discogs. About time I guess, but the digital is more than sufficient. Buy them all!
