Two tracks here with the emphasis very much on power, noise, clarity and space. ‘Alpas’ is the more in your face of the pair; razor sharp production is the order of the day, as is an underlying discipline to the beat which underpins the synthetic layers of harmonic discord that are its signature. I’m fonder of ‘Nodus’, which is a rawer, more understated cosmic foghorn of a track, Having said all that though, I’m pretty underwhelmed by the experience of listening to these two tunes which, even though they’ll be very effective, feel very generic and predictable.
