Both ‘Watch It Burn’ and ‘Up North’ employ stark, metallic motifs to drive their points home. ‘Complexity’ and ‘Diffused Light Stays Grey’, on the other hand, dampen the beat; the former abandoning it all together, the latter taking a while to gain any momentum. This quartet is a functional one, but has range and versatility, with ‘Diffused Light Stays Grey’ the standout tune; going, as it does, just that little bit more out on a limb.
