You can always rely on Detroit to come up with the goods, and
Aaron ‘Fit’ Siegel’s imprint, although five years old now, still has the feel
of a newcomer due to its careful quality control. This latest double header has
everything that motor city electronica is famed for, distilled into two intense
doses of atmospheric tonal delight. ‘First Found’ is a cyclical, clunky groove
with a slightly discordant gait, while ‘Carmine’ is an object lesson in
melancholic, cosmic restraint. I’ll have whatever he’s having.
