You can always rely on Detroit to come up with the goods, and Aaron ‘Fit’ Siegel’s imprint, although five years old now, still has the feel of a newcomer due to its careful quality control. This latest double header has everything that motor city electronica is famed for, distilled into two intense doses of atmospheric tonal delight. ‘First Found’ is a cyclical, clunky groove with a slightly discordant gait, while ‘Carmine’ is an object lesson in melancholic, cosmic restraint. I’ll have whatever he’s having.

Just thought i'd embed all of DJ Guy's Mixcloud page for you all. If you're unaware, Guy is a Cardiff native whose All Caps release '2o/81/05' was one of my favourite releases of 2014. He's about to release a double 12"on Denmark's Nord called 'Ancient Futures' which you can see topping last month's chart on this blog. Both releases are composed of recordings made back in the nineties which put a lot of today's comparative product to shame. I've recently contacted Guy about an interview which he's agreed to do, so watch this space.
