Sets Of The World

Just to get back into posting practice, I think I'll start posting some links to sets that I like, find interesting, or could be good. That last comment means that I may not have listened to them before I post them. There aren't enough hours in the day unfortunately. My IPod is groaning under their weight but there are so many it's often difficult to know where to start.




Moodymann DJ Set Feb. 14th Smart Bar CHI

Six hours of KDJ and someone else who isn't quite so hip, from Chicago's Smartbar on Valentine's day. I'd be surprised if there wasn't at least one bit of mic controllig from the moody one, "something for the ladies . . ." or something similar.

Sorry for the lack of contextual information, and these sets are readily available on various forums if you know where to look, but I do have my two-year old son Marcel, climbing over me as I type, so I think a break is in order. More to come within the next few days. Keep it locked.

    The link to the Galluzi set doesn't work properly. WHen I download it, it cuts off at random points - last time it told me it had finished downloading, but the file was only 8mb

    yeah it still isnt working, and the same thing happened with the only other link i could find for it. maybe my computer just hates something about the file? So annoying cos i listened to the first few minutes and it was amazing. do you know which track that is at the beginning with the amazing vocals?

    other than that it may be a problem with your computer, the server, etc. I haven't got a clue what the track is that you're talking about. It sounds to me like he's mixing an acapella over a backing track, but who knows. Let me know if you find it.

    awesome thanks.

    I played that track to a spanish friend, he told me that it was actually in portuguese, sounded like some portuguese revolutionary song. it sounds also a bit like the Warszawianka, or the Spanish version of it, "to the barricades"
